Deeper is what they want

September 24, 2016

So hey! A continuation from the last topic. We were talking about arthropods (if unfamiliar refer to the previous post). This time we are going in deeper...in visualizing it.*sigh* its already hair raising looking at it, now we have to individually visualize our info and draw out a detailed version of our insects. Not exactly how I planned to spend my Friday nights doing...

The species I've chosen is that of the Colopendra Heros. Originating from, North America or Vietnam, there creatures are considered one of the most venomous insects available. However, it is commonly mistaken by the term venomous and deadly no doubt most of the time it comes hand in hand. This centipede is venomous as its poison can inflict severe and serious pain, organ failure and loss of limbs in certain cases. although not proven, there are however death reports caused by this insect.

Anyways, we've driven off-course quite abit, so lets get back on track. The beginning of the visualisation process was difficult, having no ideas to begin with. Yet I managed to crack something out.

Believe me when I say that is gets uncomfortable after having to stare at it for nearly hours straight.

From the picture above, you can see that I've somewhat adopted the style of game settings. Whereby usually game credits will descend from the top as it moves down-center while being accompanied by characters and journey routes along the sides. To the top left its the terrain that I have illustrated in the "Lord of the Rings" manner, followed by the life cycle at the bottom with the depiction of triump over its prey on the right.
